They're probably feeling the ice kick on? It's not always the smoothest.

Most mechanics start selling plugs and coils and throttle body and MAF sensor cleaning before they even both to diagnose that one.

Lol... Another nail in the coffin for Gen5 reliability. And the amount of time they've entirely shut down production of Gen5 for the "recall" is increasingly suspicious. Makes you wonder what's gonna break next in these brand new cars?

I'm not saying there's anything wrong with the car. I'm just saying that's what the customer is complaining of. They've never had a hybrid and I have a feeling nothing's wrong. Just because someone complains of something doesn't mean there's a problem

Stuttering and dead stop takeoff are all we have so far. A couple questions might be in order especially if there's nothing wrong with the car except the drivers expectations. Is the stuttering persistent or at what point during takeoff does it start stuttering and how long does it stutter while taking off? What's a normal takeoff for this customer given routes and traffic pattern(s). Ya know? Is the customer always flooring it from stoplights and braking hard a few blocks further on at the next light. Just being devils advocate about some common complaints and possible scenarios.
Oh yeah if FL whats the HVAC temp set at?

I will say that one day after a light rain I was stopped at a light and I must have had my front tires on the painted line. It was slick and I spun the tires while accelerating until I cleared the paint and hit pavement which jerked the car. Audibly I couldn't hear the tires slip, so it just felt like a standard ICE car slowly accelerating from a stop. That is until I got off the paint...

Perhaps the combination of high starting torque and a transition from a slippery to a non-slippery surface may be the source of the "stuttering"?
