Fake TPMs shipped and sold by Amazon

Other brands of TPMS sensors are somewhat a lot easier to use too other common tools that are used in the industry can strike up a relearn with a u t e l sensors without issue I got this little $25 tool made by I'm not even sure who that will do the relearn feature with almost anything it can communicate with IE on the same megahertz or gigahertz scale of the sensors. Like Toyota software can't do that You have to manually input numbers and all of that unless the new version of tech can now do this whereas the TPMS sensor manufacturers that make their own tools that work with other sensors and do all that TPMS stuff this little $25 tool can strike up a relearn with those because the relearn feature is built into the TPMS sensor whereas I guess the ones in the Toyota don't have that feature they're dumber or something

 

So we're saying TPMS sensors save lives and possibly catastrophic tire repairs because people notice the tires low because the lights flashing and they put air in the tire I guess. Not sure when all the tires started blowing up or what's happened but shoot I'm driving around probably half of my adolescent years in tires with probably not enough air low air crappy tires dry rotted you name it and even doing that all those years considering now we're hardly ever any flats a few tires blew out I don't think while driving You know just regular dumb stuff.

 

The rock that did in my RR tire in Yellowstone made a loud noise all right, but after that the handling of the car didn't seem at all affected, and I might not have pulled over so soon if I hadn't seen the tire light come on.

 

Those kind of sellers seem mastered the copying making it real hard to shop for real ones.

 

Back in the day, before they required all new cars to have TPMS, everybody commonly had exploded tires like that....pffffft!...

 

Same here but when you're a kid about 12 years old 14 etc a lot of that shit gets back burnered for quite some time bicycle tires Motocross tires etc tires blow they look real bad but they create a lot of nothing I've blown out motorcycle tires yep you only have two looks just like that nothing really happens You're standing there on a flat tire looking right weird had blowouts down the highway in old Corollas and Toyota celicas tear up the wheel and blow out the fender liner pretty uneventful You either had a spare or you didn't I mean seriously the people that die from these antics are generally few and far between entire blows out like been pictured above and in this thread is actually quite uneventful pull over to the side of the road and get out and look and that's about it I don't think a lot of people die from these antics or getting any real trouble a few of veered off a canyon up there in California and things like that sure they have that wasn't necessarily because of the blown out tire might have been because of speed for driving capability and others The tire blowing out just caused a rough spot mainly trim your brakes and pull over just like many other things in society I work on hot tubs and spas and things like that for a living and you hear people talk about getting shocked and hot tubs That's like an old wives tale It's happened on a handful of times in this world but yet people that's all they talk about oh you can get shocked if you get in the hot tub You're liable to fall out of the sky in a plane before you get shocked in the hot tub to be honest about it. Similar to strut top plates blowing your arm off and sending it through the ceiling hysterical.

 

I was still pushing my first car to start it as a senior in high school. I bought a decent battery for it when I came back from my first term in college with some work-study paychecks saved up.

The old battery would start it sometimes. My HS music teacher gave me two opera tickets for graduation and I took a date. My car started when I picked up my date, and again when I brought her back. I got out, walked her to her door, then quietly pushed my car down her driveway to get home.

 

Yes I remember pushing my KE Corolla around for years because I was just not into changing the starter I guess everything else worked on the car perfectly even the hang on air conditioning and it was just as easy to push it a wheel and a half turn is all it needed and it was on I don't think I ever replaced the starter in that KE Corolla It finally got ate up in the Western Massachusetts winners got parted out and went to salvage with the bad starter still intact

 

Maybe it's still safe to say that wiring a hot tub to code makes it less likely to add to the "handful of times" in this world someone got shocked, and that putting all the bolts in an airplane makes it less likely for folks to fall out.

So maybe those are still worthy matters to discuss with people who will be wiring hot tubs or assembling planes.
