    Morning gents,

Wife complained of trouble lights on the car, checked it with my code reader and got P0A80 (hybrid battery error) and U0100 (can bus comm error).

I cleared the codes and did some sort driving. Symptoms include the state of charge monitor going from full to 3/4 full and then skipping all of the way to zero.

I replaced the volt sense wire harness no2 but kept the others. The ECU inside the hybrid pack did not have any noticeable corrosion nor did any other wires had that.

I haven't had a chance to run Dr Prius or Torque pro against the car with my fancy bluetooth obd2 scanner yet.12v trunk battery shows 14v from the in-car diagnostic screen.

My hunch given the symptoms are one or many of the following:
    1. Bad volt sense wire harness, either no 2 (was new in box) or the other two
    2. Bad hybrid ECU

Before I run my more powerful scanners and rip the car apart, i'm curious if you guys have a third place for me to look at. The lithium blades were checked prior to install and all were in balance. I also replaced thehardware (bolts) I don't think the blades are bad but I will obviously check once the back is ripped apart.

Anything else I should take into consideration? Much appreciated, thank you.

Edit: apologies I posted this in the wrong sub. I'll request a mod to move it to troubleshooting.

Look at the freeze frame data for the P0A80 code. What is the voltage difference between the highest and lowest battery blocks?

I am guessing that one of the lithium blades is bad.

Open the HV battery computer and take a look at the bus bars that go from the receptacle to the green board You see one or two of them or caked with white crusty crap . Clean that all up with electrical contact cleaner the good stuff and then look throughout for other traces of corrosion bus bars nuts etc The white and green bluish patina forming on corners of battery modules and things like that.

I would think you'd be looking for similar things that you'd be looking for with the regular pack and after reading something about some of these lithium packs I'd have to have a look and then computer looking at the different modules to see if anything's getting hot running completely differently than other ones etc maybe talk to the guy who built the thing.
