My 07 Prius got p0a080 error and Dr Prius says bank #8 has issue. I’d appreciate if you guys help finding mechanic in Long Island or NYC area. I’m thinking to swap used gen 4 batteries into gen 2. Would that be good idea? Thanks.

Yes apparently all the way up to 2021 or 2020 in some countries they're still using the Panasonic prismatic modules like we use so there's always that a buddy of mine in Lebanon is getting modules from a 2021 hybrid Prius with prismatic cells and everything looking the same as a Gen 3 case to me but apparently it has 31 modules in it instead of 28 or 34 or something so he'll have extras.

I would think looking through the trade advertisements in New York You should be able to find lots of people probably even somebody that can come to your place which in New York you may not have such a thing I don't know so there's always that at this stage of the game with the age and all that of the battery you might want to just consider getting a battery me personally I buy new so that that's out of my mind for at least 8 years You can buy a rebuilt battery and you can expect to get two maybe three seasons out of it maybe that might be pushing it and some of these battery rebuilders can charge you 12 $1,300. A real new Panasonic battery might cost you 17 cash and carry and you can put it in your car with instruction and YouTube videos in about 2.2 hours with basic hand tools that most folks generally might have so there's always that I used to live in New York in the New York Metro area I can't think of anybody it's been years but I would think looking through New York business advertisements you would very quickly find a few hybrid shop You're talking New York City here everything happens in New York City there should be plenty of Prius whispers in that town in that area plenty whether they're all full of hot air or not I couldn't tell you this should be interesting I want to hear about it when you get around to it I'm sure there are some independent battery guys that will come to you and do it all Just get your pricing scenarios straight before people start arriving at your house.

If you can’t find a mechanic, try some of the battery rebuilders.
You can’t move without stepping on one
