Wheel squeaks when I rotate it. Not sure how much pad is left. Hard to get a good picture. Any thoughts?

With the first pic, I'm having a hard time figuring out what I'm looking at. There is an opening on the back of the caliper, that affords a pretty good edge-on view of the back pad, fwiw. They typically have a groove running the width of the pad at the midpoint. If that groove is gone or nearly gone, It's likely around time:

    With the second pic:

That bit's the outer pad thickness, and it looks to be somewhat less than the backer plate (to the left).

Hi Mendel. The second pic - I measured the thickness with a small flat head screwdriver and it wasn't much more than 2mm. The first pic you can't really see the pad. What you can see is the brake pad wear indicator and it appears to be touching the rotor which explains the squeak. When I looked I estimate it was about 1mm of pad left. I was thinking of taking it into a garage tomorrow for new pads. Just wanted to make sure I hadn't got this completely wrong.

You got a couple of days worth of pad material left need to get some pads pronto with them worn down so far You're either getting the rotors turned or new rotors your choice

The repair manual spec is 1 mm, but when wear indicators start squeaking, 1 or 2 doesn't really matter, just renew them.
