    I see several sub forums and their titles give you a vague idea of what might be an appropriate post in that sub forum, but what topic would be appropriate for a main forum eludes me.

    That being said, I’m still not clear as to where i should post a question that i have.

    Just pick the one you think is best and if people think its in the wrong forum the moderator can move it for you... I usually choose the forum with the most subscribers to maximize the number of people who see it.
