Hello, I have a 2007 Toyota Prius, a few days ago it had some lights on, one of a red triangle, one of a check engine light and another of a yellow circle with an exclamation mark in the middle that I think is from the brakes, after they turned on the fan of the rear hybrid battery started making noise, then I went to an Autozone to read the codes and I got 3, the first one C1256, C1259 and C1310, also when I'm stopped and stepping on the brake it makes a strange squealing noise, I've investigated but I can't find any information, can someone help me please?

Just enter those codes in the search bar here and you'll have days of reading if you like this stuff goes around in circles every few days.

The three codes you have are all from the brake system, but they are not the only trouble codes that need to be read. It seems the Autozone scan tool was able to read brake system codes but not the others.

The C1259 and C1310 codes are not actual brake system problems. The brake system sets these codes when it is notified of a hybrid system problem. The trouble codes identifying the hybrid system problem still need to be read, using a better scan tool.

Because the battery cooling fan made noise, there's reason to think the missing hybrid-system codes will turn out to be battery-related. Still, it is better to get the actual code(s) than to guess.

The other brake-system code, the C1256, really is about the brakes. The brake system is having trouble keeping its operating pressure up. This is a separate issue, and once you know what the hybrid system issue is, you'll have a choice about which to tackle first.
