While underneath my 2013 Prius Three today I saw what turns out to be the ambient air temp sensor hanging down below the bumper structure. I could not see where it clipped or snapped onto the body/frame behind the bumper cap - where does it clip or snap onto? For the time being I zip tied it to the upper crosswise support adjacent to the hood latch.

It goes on the core support center bar that's the bar that runs from the top of the radiator down to the bottom of the radiator and your hood latch cable and whatnot runs to a latching system there and all that there's a square there that the back of that temp sensor clamps right into I believe I have to go out and look on my two generation threes but they're pretty much all the same and all Toyotas to be honest about it the little plastic temp sensor assembly literally pushes into that rectangular cut out and nestles right there like it belongs there
