Dash display is not working.

    does it make ready?

    have the 12 volt load tested for free at many auto parts stores.

    some prius have a bad combination meter, gas gauge/speedo, etc. 648587971

    Make sure you do not have it dimmed all the way. You can dim the instrument cluster all the way to off at night (or in a dark space like a garage)

    Also it has a "click" at the very bottom and/or very top as well to lock it in that setting. So if it feels like it won't move don't be afraid to give it a little more slide up.

    I do see the READY indicator, and a couple indicator lights on the right. And the gear pattern display, indicating Park is selected, and I think that pattern display is part of the same VFD that displays the speed and fuel level (projected upward from an opening beneath the display that you see).

    What I'm not seeing are the speed and fuel displays (which, again, I think are the same VFD as the gear pattern, so that's kinda weird), and no MID. If I remember right, there is an OFF setting for the MID, so that could be a simple explanation there.

    Is there any chance something has slid forward under the gauge hood there, and covered the opening the speed and fuel level project up from?
