So my prius just turned 200k on the original battery. Still getting low 40s mpg but the battery is defiently dying quicker now ive noticed. I picked up a used prolong battery charger and discharger but have yet to use it. I have not opened up the battery yet but have next week off when I plan to do the first prolong process then. If the bus bars are corroded would it be worth the trouble to replace them or clean them first before doing the battery reconditioning. Thanks

Prolong system allows you to charge and balance and recondition in a way that doesn't require you to pull the pack from the car. So it'd be less hassle for you to do it that way. But if you want to be thorough, I'd pull the pack and clean all the corrosion and inspect everything as well as build a spreadsheet with voltages of all 28 modules, as well as voltage at 2 minutes after a module has lit up a halogen headlight bulb 50w/12v, which is called load testing. Having this data on a spreadsheet for future use will be helpful, but as long as pack doesn't have issues yet, you can procrastinate on that for a while.
