Another recall for Prius and other Toyotas

    Toyota Recalls 33,000 Vehicles over Distributor's Inaccurate Stickers

    From Car and Driver....

    The recall stems from an incorrect load-capacity sticker used by a distributor group in Texas, and it spans nearly every model in Toyota's North American lineup.

    The recall includes:

    • 2025 Camry Hybrid
    • 2024 Corolla
    • 2023–2024 Corolla Cross Hybrid
    • 2023–2025 Crown
    • 2024 4Runner
    • 2023–2024 Highlander, Highlander Hybrid
    • 2024 Grand Highlander, Grand Highlander Hybrid
    • 2023–2024 GR Corolla
    • 2024 GR86
    • 2023 GR Supra
    • 2024 Land Cruiser Hybrid
    • 2023–2024 Prius, Prius Prime
    • 2023–2024 Sequoia Hybrid

    While that seems like a big deal, the whole thing equates to some inaccurate "max load" stickers after options were installed on the cars that were being prepped for customers.

    I noticed a similar recall when they needed to change something on the 2017 Prius Prime. It changed the max load by only 2 pounds, but the recall was not complete until the sticker showed the updated max load.

    I don't recall ever doing anything with that car that might have been impacted by that extra pound or two of cargo.
