My daughter lost her only fob on a 2013 prius c. I am wondering what my options are to help her get back on the road.
    Thank you,
    Jomo

Unless you have access to a fully functional and registered Toyota Techstream computer & spare fob to talk to your Prius - Your best bet is an automotive locksmith.

    hope this helps....

Assuming you have a push button not a key system. If you got a key system, you can simply change the lock cylinders.

With no fob a dealer or some certified locksmiths have a special access to Toyota through Techstream which can clear your immobilizer and then setup a new fob. Just Techstream is not enough. Used fobs won’t work.

It’s much cheaper to setup a second fob when you have one functioning.

I use Apple Air Tags ($29) to keep tabs on our fobs. My wife “lost” one a month ago and searched “everywhere”. When I pulled up my “Find My” app we realized the fob was in the house. Using directional tracking it led me to a walk in closet where the AirTag could be heard faintly beeping inside an “empty” purse. Fob rescued. Works across town or across the country as well.

    Two fobs right now

Fob “hidden” somewhere in this cafe
