2nd gen headlight upgrade in 2024

I wouldn’t mind a halogen bulb still, but more whiter than the older yellower lights.

 

Then you can buy the osrsm Sylvania bright whites . But their longevity is definitely extremely short and they're like $39 a pair so for the same $39 a pair or less you can put in cob LEDs similar or better brightness whatever but you need to reaim your halogen housings it'll be about 7 to 8 turns or so downward I think you're screwing in then you'll see the cutoff appear on your wall then you set that to where it needs to be I think this is the step that most people miss when they apply LEDs and then they complain about their lighting up everything but what they're looking at.

 

Yeah everything can be illegal everywhere so follow your state guidelines or whatever you think you have to do All the kids that are shining their lights in your face when you're driving home at night yeah they're all illegal too We don't do anything about that in the USA pretty much that stuff's allowed to fly look at all the nonsense all the kids have on all their trucks and vehicles you see it everyday but be that as it may that's right or is wrong whatever you choose. We don't have TUV police like they do in Europe where they'll take your car off the road for the wrong headlight bulb think I'm kidding okay. So I've also posted the link a bunch of times to the D4S to LED for the HIDs from the factory I have them on a JBL 6 disc changer kind of a tourer model but I don't have the extended spoiler or the 16-in wheels oh well. But I do have the HID lights and their shutters work very well and everything is good with them so I put in the D4S to LED bulbs right in the factory sockets back in the factory holes and did not bypass the ballast I have that option but generally it's never needed. So I didn't do it so you have both bulbs to run with If you have halogens beam tech also makes the s1 series type of bulb it looks like a palm nailer and on the end of the palm nailer is a fat nail with two cob LEDs on it boom that goes right in your halogen housing crank them down about eight and a half turns those are half turns of the adjustment screw and see the cut out appear on your wall put that where you're supposed to and drive on.

 

I'll try to dig up the pictures I don't know if they'll post here or not maybe they will now but it's not really much to see they look like the picture of the bulbs that you were able to look up online the D4S to LED conversions All that is is a bulb that looks like the bulb that you bought if you ever bought them The regular bulb D4S that you can get at AutoZone that fit in our cars It looks like that except instead of ballast exciting gas to light and there isn't any there's just cob elements that fire

 

There are tons of videos on YouTube including a little short woman that will change them out with a small hands without moving the lamp assembly It's all over the internet she is putting back regular D4S meeting the ballast to fire bulbs. But if I handed her the D4S to LEDs she could fit those in as everything is the same it fits just like the D4S real bulb The LED just plugs and fits in the holder end of discussion there are millions of videos online of this You have HID if you generally have fog lights 16-in wheels and extended spoilers and six disc changers That's like a tourer. And then there are variations on the theme without the spoiler and out the wheels but with the fog lights HIDs in the 6 disc changer That's real common in the US market I have two of them Good luck on your lamp search sorry it's turning into such a horrid affair I just ordered another set of bulbs today for another customer's car.
