Super easy. Just spin it counterclockwise(or anti-clockwise for our European friends - lol). The shaft is threaded and the knob has a threaded female insert.

That I don't know offhand. I didn't check the size because I was just taking it off and putting it back on when I pulled out my center console.

If it was a manual trans I might consider it.

Basically, that would mean that any Toyota manual shift knob will work.

The question, however, is how long is the shaft, including the threaded and unthreaded length combined? That would also mean the total depth of the cavity into the bottom of the shift knob.

I found this photo online of a shifter with the shift knob removed.

Basically, any custom shift knob would require a a lower part that covers the large hole on the top of the shifter covered by the OEM shifter.

Just got a shifter complete with a shift knob.

We'll be making custom shift knobs made with wood like black walnut.

The form factor is different from the tall currently available manual shift knobs sold by existing vendors.
