I went to Trader Joe’s this afternoon and when I started my car (2013 Persona, 65k miles) the message on the dash said “check hybrid system, pull over when safe” with several yellow lights lit up. Well, I drove home with a bit of non-smooth acceleration. What do you think the problem is?
    Thanks for your input.

The problem is, you need to check the hybrid system.
You need a code reader to check the codes.

There are just too many things that could be wrong to start guessing.

65K on a 13 Persona in Southern California probably an HV battery issue would be my guess I have the same car but that doesn't mean anything but that would be my guess if it's original battery it's well just right as far as the years go to be starting to mess up but then again some of them go to 400,000 miles before they mess up but usually those miles are within 12 or 13 years You're sitting it I don't know 10 or 11 now get a code reader read the codes that's the way to deal with these modern cars shooting in the parts Canon at them without even looking at the codes is quite costly

without knowing the codes, nobody has any clues.

make sure the battery cooling fan is clean, and the intake grille is clear.
also, check the fan motor connector for corrosion.
