Drove 36.7 km, all city driving, maximum speed of 85 km/h and still had 11.4 km left in the battery when I got back home. That would have given me 48.1 km off the battery. Not bad for a 2017 with 147k km :)

Yes Indeed , the Prime shines in city driving in EV, for my usage 75% of my driving is done in EV . So after 23K km of usage 17K were done in EV the rest was in HV on highways on long rides

I'm at 1.8L/100 km since I got it last year and since the car does 6L/100 km from the engine alone (not accounting for the help of the battery, just fuel usage over distance, as calculated by Hybrid Assistant), I'm at 70% EV myself. Some of that is due to the use of the engine to warm up the cabin during cold winter days, otherwise I would have had an even better consumption.

Your 2017 is healty , your numbers are very close to mine , a 2022 model. We live in the same climate so in the long run your numbers are quite the the same as mine , maybe a few tenth of liter lower on my side , the car reports 1.6L/100 Km but again it does not mean a better performance since a lot of variables will change the results ....

European cities are nowhere near your cities. There is no way I can legally go at 85 in the city. The maximum is 70 but that is on a triple carriageway, and not all of them. Otherwise it's 50 most of the time or even 30.

Hence my range is around 70 Km on a charge.

It's not fast. Our urban speed limit is 50 km/h, sometimes 30. Plus a lot of traffic lights.

I use EV only for urban environment, otherwise I will go in HV and save EV for later.

    BTW:

    My average is 85W/km.

That's about half my average consumption. Mind you, beside neighborhood roads that are between 30 to 50 km/h and you do one or two km there, most of my routes are 70 to 90 km/h. Using EV on only 50 km/h and slower, would mean I would drive in Hybrid almost all the time.

    One or two Km? :)
On Monday I took my wife to have her eyes checked. This is the route I took. Started with a full charge, got home with 38% left.
Only 2 km of that route has 70, most was 50 with some 30.

This is the route to see my Mother, sometimes I do that route 4 times in a day as I take her home to have lunch and take her back. All in one charge with spare to go.

When going to see my parent, my route is 5.6 km long and half of it is on 70 km/h road (where I go about 80 km/h). My consumption for that trip is 9.52 kWh/100 km. Next time, I'll use another path where the speed limit is 50 km/h and relatively the same length and see what my consumption will be.

BTW, when you are doing 70, is it 70 on the GPS? I am at 66...

Yes, it's normal that it's slower than the indicated speed by the car. It's by law. However, the 2024 Volvo XC40 Recharge Ultimate that I was lent while my Model 3 was in the body shop was actually showing a slower speed than what my GPS was showing. Usually for this to happen, someone had but larger wheels on the car but it's a rental, maybe someone swapped their wheels/tires? It's common for someone to do that instead of buying new tires.
