Good day, please forgive me if I am posting this on the wrong discussion group or if this has been discussed already - I did look through the forum but couldn't find my exact problem. Any support would be greatly appreciated!!!

Basically, my car was parked in a long stay car park for 7 weeks and when we tried to start it, it wouldn't comply. Airport worker jump started the car and initially it drove okay. Less than 30 mins into the drive, the red triangle with exclamation mark, orange circle light with exclamation mark and the vsc engine light came on.

Pulled over, called out AA who did a diagnostic check and said nothing major was wrong, cleared the faults and said it was likely that the battery didn't like the abrupt jump start. It apparently should have been slowly charged before the high intensity jumpstart..?

Anyhow, before we even left the service station, the lights came back on and I started noticing that when accelerating I was getting major resistance. It sounded like I was over revving the engine. I had to put my hazards on a few times because I couldn't accelerate enough to keep up with traffic!!!!??

Also usually when I drive at speed, the battery charges up and you can see it full on the touchscreen screen. Not this time- it slowly drained to two bars. And a red car shaped light with an exclamation mark came on for the trip.

Finally made it home after almost 7 hours (journey should have been less than 3).

Any idea what this could be? Husband mentioned the mass air flow sensor may be faulty hence the acceleration issues. Or the 12v battery needs replacement?

Long-term parking is not very good.
The high-voltage battery modules can discharge.
Self-discharge varies for different modules and when one has dropped significantly in voltage, the others may remain normal.
When operating a hybrid system, these differences in the voltage of neighboring modules can cause a red triangle and failure messages.

To answer your questions accurately, we need some data on the error codes.
Do you or your husband have the opportunity to find a scanner to read the codes?
