What do you think about slightly overfilling the oil would lead to hybrid engine instant torque start pulling the oil to intake manifold? This would cause cold start, missfire and clogging. And maybe head gasket failure also?

Me, my dad and many of my friends are type of people that thinks "more is better" in almost everything in life. I just think is this type of thinking (more is better) is usual in general?

Is there lots of Prius owner had sligthly overfill the oil thats why there is so many head gasket failure?

Here is the video about this topic at chapter number four at 9.08 min.

Ps. I dont have head gasket failure. Just bought my Prius V 2014 5 months ago. It run great. The service man slightly overfill the oil first time when I bought the car. Second time I slightly overfill the oil 3 weeks ago when changing oil. Im going to suck that extra oil out this week.

As far as I'm concerned they fail for an adequately explained and researched reason: uneven heating and cooling.

That's been popping head gaskets from every engine maker for 100+ years.

    What's the miles?
How much is slightly? How much (in mm or inch) above top mark on dipstick. Up to 1/4" I'd just let it be.
    Long shot...

140k mile. About 1-2mm above top mark. What do you mean by long shot. Did you watch the video above at 9.08 min. The car care nut said you should fill the oil slightly below top mark in hybrid cars. If you have time you can watch it. He had very good point for it.

Yes, I know more is not always better. Im just thinking, is this (more is better) behavor is usual for most of people after all. Thats why there are maybe many prius owner slightly over the oil. And that is why it would clogg their intake manifold. And that is why maybe their head gasket is blown. If you watch the video above at 9.08 min, it says slightly overfilling the oil is the BIG NO GO for the hybrid cars.

Depends on what you mean by slightly.....
I put 4.5 quarts in mine. It always goes right to the bottom of the full line.
When I put 4.75 qts in it, like it calls for, it's just over the top of the line.

Now if you put a full quart over, that could likely be a problem.
