Codes just showed that I need to replace my inverter pump, can I last three weeks with a little driving before doing in? Thanks so much.

The temperature generally going down this time o Year so I would say yes unless you're beating the hell out of the car a lot of highway driving and high speed driving I've driven in North Carolina for half a year without an inverter pump without any trouble car drove impeccably the way it was used. And hopefully you're going to do this in your driveway just need a 10 mm long socket and two corks to block off the water pipes was as you pull them off and a long pair of needle nose to unplug the connector before you undo the three gold screws and withdraw the pump this is like a 30 minute operation but you can go ahead and pay whatever and do what have you want I guess.

In any case, it is worth monitoring the inverter temperature with some program from the phone.
There are no special devices with scales for measuring and monitoring temperature on the Prius dashboard.
When the red warning light comes on, it may be too late.
The pump costs little, the cost of replacing the inverter will be tens of times more expensive and more difficult to replace.

If you're not beating on the car in high temperatures like now in the southeast we're starting to get into the fall 75° temps you'll be hard pressed to overheat the inverter and your hand is a good guide You want to go flogging down the road and see what temps you can bring up in 7578° weather it'll be the kind that you can wrap your hand around the output of the inverter that's going to the pump Just get out whip up the hood and put your hand on it it'll be about 103° 104 maybe something like that if you're not that sure about your hand you can shoot it with a temp gun It will never be hotter than you can hold I have tried I've even run for I don't know a week or two in 89° weather without the inverter pump working and never saw anything throttle back had regenerative braking working fine and every time I flogged the car a couple exits down the highway and whatnot and pull over to the Petro whip up the hood check my in and out hoses of the inverter and they're never hotter than I can stand to touch so I'm assuming that that's not horrific and certainly not causing any charging issues at that point then about a week later I changed my inverter pump to a water pump that I use on my big bore scooters and it's been in there for years now It's a little tiny thing it just hangs in between the two hoses it doesn't even need a bracket works wonderfully 70 bucks
