My gas gauge isn't filling up all the way but the tank is full??

    Help Im a 2 wk old pruis owner 2009
    My gas gauge isn't going all the way up when the gas is all the way to the neck of the tank

    There is no universal method.

    If you fill up with a little fuel, the readings do not change.

    Sometimes even after filling up, they remain at the same level until you drive some distance.
    The sensor is located inside a bubble, which is hidden from the outside by the tank itself. There is no access to it.

    You can rock the car and the sensor will stop sticking.

    I've driven 50 miles and it's still showing not full??? I went from a 1 ton long bed 4 door diesel so I am new at this thanks for the input

    Gen 2 has a tank bladder which can cause fueling issues.
    You may never know how much fuel is in the tank without driving until empty and seeing how many gallons it will take
