GM and dealership refusing to cover "fail shift to park" issue fix under Voltec warranty, trying to

    GM and dealership refusing to cover "fail shift to park" issue fix under Voltec warranty, trying to fight it we should do it together

    For example, GM stated on page 8 In Service Bulletin TSB 19-NA-206(Subject: Intermittent Shift to Park Message Displayed While Vehicle in Park)stated on page 8:Warranty Information Note: Specific to the Volt model, repairs are covered under the Voltec (Electric and Hybrid Vehicle) Warranty

    I found information that entire shifter to be replaced--also under warranty(Voltec warranty for the known "shift to park" issue). See below underscored:TrueDelta | Chevrolet Volt transmission Problems
    oltec warranty for the known "shift to park" issue. This is the first repair, and the wiring squib was replaced. The second one that was done a year later required the entire shifter to be replaced--also under warranty.

    did open case in GM support
    GM responded: that harness and switch replacement for my car 2017 Chevrolet Volt covered by GM Voltec (Electric and Hybrid Vehicle) Warranty, But dealership replaced entire shifter and that not covered.
    I have 2017 Volt and active Voltex warranty.
    What should I do?

    Speculation, this sounds like a safety issue. Perhaps contact the NHTSA or a lawyer?

    did the dealership fix the problem?

    i would contact the massachusetts department of public affairs. it sounds like what they did was unnecessary, and charged you for a part that did not need to be replaced.
    what was the repair cost?
