is it the tb or it’s sensors or maybe a Maf or fuel pump?

It's not going to be MAF or fuel pump, or anything besides the throttle body, throttle position sensor, or the wires thereto.

The code tells you the ECM wanted the throttle to close but did not see the position sensor showing it closing.

So is first step to simply clean the throttle body? If that doesn’t work how do I test the TPS or TB itself?

Cleaning the throttle body won't hurt, I guess, but might not lead directly to any insight into why it wasn't seen closing when the ECM wanted it to.

A good scan tool should be able to pull up the freeze frame from when the P2111 code was set, and show just what the position sensor readings were at that moment. There may also be active tests where you can command a specific throttle position and see the position reading.

There should be a whole recommended troubleshooting procedure in the section for P2111 in the repair manual:

Which scan tool or hopefully apps can show me these freeze moments. I used car scanner to find the fault codes yesterday. It was an app I downloaded yesterday so I am not sure everything it does.

Just cleaned TB (And MAF since I had both CRC sprays handy). Did nothing. Ordering both the TB and TPS now. No time to play for stuff. $350 and should be fixed. Pretty upset that even newer Prius’s break on me. This is my 5th. Might go back to high powered ICE cars. Sigh. My V and 3 will be for sale soon. Both top packages including Tech pkg on the 3. Did you know it actually self-steers a little. It’s fun to play with. Like a toddler learning to walk. It wanders a little and then right before it’s over its head it yells audibly. Pretty cool. Anyway I’ll update when the new parts come in.

It's those times when someone says "no time to play for stuff" that they often end up replacing $350 worth of parts and still having the problem, and then looking for the wiring issue they didn't have time to look for up front.
