My rear parking sensors are not beeping. Initially when I select reverse, there is a single beep and then silence from them(other than the standard reverse beeper from the car).

I have tried switching the button at the trunk to both positions, no difference. I can also "feel" the vibration-pulse of each sensor when I touch them. This probably means that they have power but somehow the signal is lost between the rear of the car and the (front?) beeper. Front sensors beeper is at the front, I don't know where the rear is or if it's the same. I'm wondering this because I've read some other thread here that has a PDF installation guide on the Gen3 Prius and it has a rear beeper from what I understand.

Any help for the location of the sensors hub or other locations I should check for disconnected cables will be appreciated. Bonus question for someone who may know is how can I permanently disable the front sensors because they are redundant and I can see at the front .

So this is a generation 2 2007 with some sort of parking assist system that's pretty good I don't know if that came to the states or not but you are going to need a real factory manual and the troubleshooting system for that parking assist or whatever it's called My volt has this going forwards or backwards if you get close to anything beeping starts to happen letting you know you're getting awfully close and or are about to hit something It's quite unnerving actually You have to I guess get used to it which I am not and I don't ever drive the vault my other half does and she's oblivious to much beeping and noise she just cranks radio . It's real common here on the property for me to have cars parallel parked literally bumper to bumper touching bumpers touching bumpers so those things would be beeping the whole time in my driveway The minute I turn the car on to get ready to move it or any of that. But it seems like I guess that's a thing with this model and some markets I had no idea.
