can you install the approaching vehicle speaker on 2008 prius with parts from a 2015 or what year they started making them?

the speaker is cheap but I know you need more parts. is this possible diy project??

Approaching vehicle speaker have no idea what that is You mean Lane assist or the things in the bumper that go off when you get too close to a vehicle like you're going to hit it No I don't think you're going to put that in from a Toyota into your older Toyota You may be able to buy that nonsense aftermarket that just wires up to your electrical system than you would have places to install sensors or you would have to manually put the sensors in the front bumper somewhere look at how it's done in the 2015 You're going to want to pull all that out and try and put it in your 2008 that doesn't even have any computers for this kind of stuff You probably better off with a standalone unit seems to be more reasonable anyway but you can do anything you want or attempt anything you like whether you'll get it to work or not is quite another story You throw enough money in enough time at it and you can pretty much make anything happen I've seen people beat vehicles into submission with ideas for their mods they just didn't want to give up eventually they got it but yeah that sort of thing.

Boy you'd be really beating yourself over the head trying to do this I don't know if that was available on the generation to and other countries or not but I know they're a standalone systems that you could buy that would probably be a lot easier to just install on the car and probably not that costly I mean when you really think about it that would be the way to go then you're just adding a couple sensors or something to wherever they go on the car running the wires and plugs do the dash to some black box that has 12 volt power and maybe an ignition switch power and well you're done then you have more beeps and bloops to listen to in a car that already has a gajillion oh boy lots of fun I don't like driving my volt because of all that nonsense That's all that does is beep and bloop I'm backing up in my own driveway It knows that the bicycles in the carport kind of close to the car. Well no kidding
