I ordered a new fender and headlamp assembly. I can't get it to fit back together. I am a female electrician and not a mechanic and thought I would try to fix the car myself. The headlamp assembly is supposed to slide in on the bottom but a part of the body it in the way and the cross support doesn't reach on the topside. Can anyone help? Am I missing a part? I even bought a new side retainer.

A longer shot would help showing the front end. If the bumper cover is on you have to partially remove it. The Prius v has a different headlight assembly than the more common hatchback.

Is it possible that substructure was damaged in whatever caused you to make the fender replacement?

The entire bumper is removed. I did find out about the headlamp assembly being different. I had to order it twice to get the correct one. ): Thank you.
