    Hey!
College student who bought a used (and definitely abused) 2007 Prius.
Went to replace my valve cover gasket today and noticed one of the spark plugs is held on by metal bars attached to the other bolts. Inspected and noticed that plug's specific bolt was broken. Doesn't look like I'll be able to get it out because of how little threading there is. Reattached it and all good but still worrisome. Additionally it was so dirty you couldn't actually see the color of the valve cover from the oil burning.

Where can I find replacement valve covers? Gaskets are easy to find given I just replaced mine.

    Thanks so much

    Wrecking yard?

You would be able to get the remainder of the bolt out more easily once you've removed the valve cover. You would drill a small pilot hole down the center of the bolt remnant and use a tool called an ezi-out to extract it.
BTW, I presume you're talking about an ignition coil, not a spark plug, right?

Correct yeah, the ignition coil is what I meant. I sent some messages to people parting out their Gen 2's on FB Marketplace. We'll see.
