    Hello all,

Long time Priuschat reader here. Would appreciate some troubleshooting help with an issue. I just got my brakes and rotors replaced in my 2013 2, a week later I notice a buzzing or vibrating sound coming from my rear driver side wheel or at least that’s where the sound appears to be coming from. Jacked the car up to see if there is any play on the wheel that would allude to a bad bearing. Bent the dust shield back a bit. The sound only appears for moments at a time and will go away after driving steadily.

I miss the boat completely there I don't hear anything If you pick up the back end of the car and you rotate the wheels roundy roundy with your hands what are you here should be a lot of nothing You have disc brakes on the back have they ever been replaced You can see how low they are with the wheel off looking in between the caliper and the rotor You don't see you almost what looks to be a 3/8 pad thickness or something like that and they're old and disgusting looking and starting to flake and crumble probably a good idea to change them this generally won't damage the rotor very much but you'll hear noises from the pads literally disintegrating from age if nothing else most of you people when you drive your Prius you don't really activate the friction brakes until you get to the last degree of a stop. You're using the friction brakes to hold you at the stop sign to keep you from being in the middle of the road and getting hit but getting to the stop sign most of y'all aren't using the friction brakes those are the regenerative brakes or the electric motor brakes or whatever you like to call them.

Yes, the back wheels spin freely with a whole lot of nothing. The brakes were also just replaced 2 weeks ago, I’ve noticed the noise around 1 week ago. I tried to post a second video but it appears that it is pending mod approval. The dust shield doesn’t give off a grind or a scraping noise like they usually do when they’re at fault but I do notice some rust holes in the shield, I wonder if air flowing through the hole could cause it but idk the noise is very loud and apparent to my ears, unfortunately the phone doesn’t pick it up well.
