Totaled My Prius

    I totaled my 2012 toyota prius V Oct 2, see photos.

    Car only had 125,000 and was in perfect shape.

    Salvage yard picking it up today. Car was hit on passenger side and seat plus curtain air bags inflated

    Bought car last November I still owe $10,600 on it

    Any idea how much I'll get for it or how much to accept from insurance company? Car had full coverage from state farm.

    I was cited by police for improper right turn other driver had insurance but no drivers license, possibly an illegal.

    I assume a State Farm adjuster has seen it and declared it totaled?

    If you were ticketed and the other guy was not then I would assume your insurance has to pay. I doubt most insurance companies will give you $10.6k for it but State Farm is one of the better ones.

    They normally offer the average low retail for your car with its miles.

    What a shame. You should fight the ticket. Do not even think about paying it. This will make your insurance go up and is tantamount to admitting fault.
