2010 Prius CD stopped working. How to fix?

Solution 1: $200

Pay some 15-year-old kid in an aftermarket sound shop $150 to replace yours.

Solution 2: $ free or nearly so.
Find (another) antique optical disc player attached to a computer and convert your CD's to MP3 and use the Aux port to play them from your cell phone.
If you do not have an older smart phone you can find an adapter for your lighting or USB-C device.
You get to rid yourself of the hassle of shuffling plastic and - really......there will be no value add to your car with the restored CD player.

Vinyl sales outpaced CD sales for the first time since 1987 a couple of years ago....so you can convert those too with the right player/recorder.

 

If it's belt driven, the belt likely broke. I had the issue with my Town& Country.
I had a hard time finding the correct belt. I had to open up that radio 3 times.
The last time I had found the correct belt.
I only used it for the cassette adapter to play my iPod then iPhone. But the belt
would brake after 5 or 6 months.
I used it for the last, with the correct belt, that I have found by accident, for a
month or two before I purchased the an adapter that plugs into the back of the radio
that was for an external cd box.
