Maint Req Light

    I had the initial oil change at the dealer on my 06 @ 3,000 miles. I now have 4,700.

    Yesterday I noticed the "Maint Req" light flashing when I start the car. It flashes 7 times and goes off about the same time as the ICE starts.

    According to the owners manual the light means I need an oil change. I don't think so. Is there something the dealer forgot to reset or do I have an issue?

    :) Sounds like your service tech failed to reset that light. In your Owner's Manual, instructions are provided for resetting the "MAINT REQD" light - a simple "do it yourself" procedure. In my 2007 Manual it's on pages 130-131.
