I had another unusual CarPlay issue. I got kicked out with another "interruption in connection" and I got my phone out to maybe reboot it to see if that had any effect. There was an error box from the app and when I clicked OK and then clicked reload on the car it actually came back (which was a first). I have been rebooting my phone more often, not sure if it has had an effect or not.

I'm still seeing the problem. In the first, it crashed when I got home. In the other, it crashed after startup when the map screen froze. The first time I rebooted both the phone and the car in that order and it reconnected. In the second I had to press the power/volume button for the screen (middle screen) till it turned off and then turned it on. Then it connected. This is really debilitating. Toyota really needs to work on stability for carplay or at least work with Apple to make it better.

I have found that if I remote start the car with the phone, then get in the car; the apple car play will never connect. I have to turn car off and on again to get it to connect.

2023 Prius LTD. I have Bluetooth connectivity problems on a regular basis. I am frustrated by this and have had issues with mapping when the wireless connection is lost. Is Toyota going to address this ?

I have a '23 limited. It connects fine to my Samsung Galaxy. HOWEVER, there is another thread on androids, and some people have problems (my husbands Samsung e10 for instance), so I don't think it is just a problem with Apple phones, just some of them. We have discovered that if an app is open on the screen of the phone (Sirius for example), the phone won't connect to the car. No idea why.
