A question about the mean girls

It's stuff like this that makes me glad my wife and I decided not to have children.

As for the prank, I'm assuming you were looking for this. It's the only explanation I could find.

Girls gangs are gaining recruits faster, yes.

And yes, girls can also be more cruel and violent.

I remember my first year of teaching. I had a girl that was borderline mentally retarded, so she was in a mainstreamed classroom. Always cheerful, never held a grudge, never sad for very long, always nice and helpful. One day she didn't show up to school. After a week I inquired about her in the office.

I was told that some 9th grade girls had dragged her into one of the bathrooms at lunch, put a sentry on guard at the door, then took her in a stall, stuck her head in the toilet and flushed it over and over again.

This girl had done nothing to warrant that kind of cruelty. She was just...different.

As for these five, they've learned nothing because the adults involved have taught them that nothing they've done warrants consequences. In a few years, they'll be on a TV reality show. That one on Bravo.

No. Who said anything about attacking and maiming them?

However, *I* would make sure their asses were suspended AND if I didn't get satisfaction from school administration I would bypass them and report it as child abuse to the police and social services. And I would be MORE than happy to go to court and testify before a judge as a witness to exactly what those girls were doing.

I'm a teacher. By law I am required to report child abuse. If I don't I can be fined or thrown in jail.

I don't tolerate abuse by children on children, or adults either. (Did you read about the abuse by students inflicted on school staff?) I believe our school system doesn't expell as many student as it should. All children have a right to learn. BUT you can't learn if you're being beat up or bullied or shaken down for lunch money. The rights of one bully to learn do not trump the rights of the other kids in class to learn in a safe environment. If *I* were "Supreme Dictator of the Universe for Life" Bully would be expelled and parents would have to pay for his education by private school or private tutor. I also find that behavior of a Bully has roots, as in the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. If the kid is a bully, one or both of the parents are also bullies.

I agree with most of what you said, but don't agree with the origins of "bulliness" (just made that one up!)

Bullies can be made by their environment, but it doesn't always follow that the parents were bullies. Often, they were simply too permissive and "tolerant" of their child's behaviors, never wanting to be "mean" and correct them. Rearing a child is hard to do; it takes work and consistency.

 

The untold 'salad dressing' side story:
Several weeks after being warned by the cheerleaders' coach to watch their weight, one cheerleader was overheard saying, “like, we eat noting but salads for lunch, but it doesn't stop our cravings for more . . . it's like a party scene in the cafeteria.†:lol:

My favorite run-in with a 'mean girl':
Many years ago when I was a lifeguard, I also taught lifesaving classes – a required course to become a lifeguard. The 'mean girl' thought her looks [she was stunning! ] would get her through the class. It didn't. Kids several years younger were doing better. Her flirting was flopping and she was becoming worried. One night after class, she came up to me, with others present, and said, “Paaaatriiiiick, I'll do aaannnnnyyyyy-thing to pass this class.â€
True, my answer may have been partly motivated by the fact that I had a girlfriend . . . but still, they were two of the best words that ever came out of my mouth: “EVEN STUDY?†:lol:
She was shocked . . . but ended up passing because she actually did study.

I work in the public schools. If I was in charge all kids would do exactly what they're told, keep their mouths shut except when asked for feedback, any dicipline problem types would not be allowed to disrupt classes, any bully would be expelled for the rest of the school year and be required to get psyciatric help, and last any student who gives any teacher a hard time will be suspended until he/she learns how to act like a civilized human being. They will be expected to work and pay taxes. The way it is here our jails & prisons are full of morons who never learned to fit into our society. They are the types that end up in ESE and get a "Certificate Of Completion" instead of a HS diploma. all the BS certificate means is that they showed up to class from time to time. All the employers here know that certificate is worthless and the young losers can barely read or write. Yes, by taking dicipline out of the public school system and catering to stupid parents we all pay the price. I also believe that children are entitled to an education provided they follow all the rules and do exactly what they are supposed to do. I personally can't stand bullies. I have gotten in many bullies faces and told them in my own way to stop bothering whoever. when I was a young boy I had a few bullies pick on me. Fortunately, my uncle paid for me to go to Karate school and it was not long before nobody bothered me again. If you know martial arts most kids won't come near you again. it was 7 years of a good "education" and I always try to help any boy or girl who is being bullied or picked on for being different.

This kid should never be allowed in a public school again---only a private school, if one will accept him, knowing what he did.
