Lower Glove compartment

    I just purchased my brand new 07 prius Shiny and black and last night i noticed that the lower glove compartment was not shutting entirely as i could see some orange light seeping out from around the latch. anyone else have a problem like this?

    Yes, everyone has that problem. Unlike your fridge, the light doesn't shut off when you close the door.

    :) Not to worry... That light is a small LED and consumes only a negligible amount of current. It's only "on" when your parking or headlights are also on. Seems its consumption is so slight as to suggest that a switch is not really called for... and the LEDs and very long lasting.
