Thoughts on 24 Prime XSE power liftgate kits

Although my 2024 Prime has the factory power tailgate, I would certainly consider installing one if I had purchased one of the other two trim levels.

Because I did a similar install on a 2018 Advanced and 2020 Prime LE, this would be something I would do without hesitation as long as its a kit from Autoease. Yes, their kits would perhaps be more expensive than the AliExpress example you offered, but I would trust their XW60 kit which in my opinion and experience, is likely to be as good and reliable as the ones I installed in my previous gen primes.

In my view, if a kit like this can open a frozen hatch in -30 temperatures over multiple winters then its OK in my books.

Yes indeed.

It is full featured and usually comes with almost everything one needs.

Specific to your questions:

1. Illuminated surface "flush" mounted buttons for the dash. Requires drilling into a spot of your choice on the lower dash. Hole cutting drill bit included (20 mm).
2. Illuminated surface "flush" mounted buttons for the tailgate. I chose to remove the right pocket handle and mounted it there with an aluminum plate covered with carbon fibre PPF.

In fact, the factory power tailgate on the 2023-2025 Primes does NOT come with a foot proximity sensor, which this Autoease does. I miss that on the 2024, and adding it is definitely one of my summer projects.

Might I suggest buying an OEM open hatch button for a LTD/XSE+ and trying to make that work instead of drilling into your dash to mount an aftermarket switch.

Although the OEM switch is pretty expensive, so I can understand not taking the chance on one.
