A Broadway show is being broadcast live on CNN. That has not been done before. This show about Edward R Murrow's work has current political implications. Otherwise I much doubt this thing would happen. If any others tune in I would enjoy reading comments.
I'm getting prompted to subscribe to CNN MAX for $16.95 a month. Which would be a steal to see a Broadway show, but if I know anything about these services, I doubt that I could finish reading the terms and conditions before intermission.
I presumed CNN was in most households. There are ways to watch online but I'd rather not mention the one I use. Stay out of my pipe
Post-game show in progress. This Broadway show debuted 2025 March 25 and this was its close. According to information at hand. It followed a 2005 movie by same name, but with Clooney playing a different role. It is at least by some regarded as currently topical. Some responses from Washington can be anticipated, if topicality irritates.
Among the 15 or so shows currently on Broadway, this seems to have had the highest ticket prices. If any here write irritated responses, do not neglect that. == I've never been to a Broadway show. Have been to other 'live theater' which are much different challenges for onstage and offstage participants. Compared to movies and TV with multiple 'scene takes' and final product resulting from editing.
It was free on cnn.com and their app although they did not use tv lighting. About the same as the 2005 movie Clooney co-wrote and directed which did quite well for a low budget movie back then.
unfortunately, we tuned in too late. i was trying to get it on cnn.com, but our daughter told us it was on tv
I saw a play earlier this year that had basketball played on stage and key points in the story depended on certain shots going in or not going in. Try that without multiple takes and editing. I haven't read the script myself, but one of the cast members told me afterward that it has branches at those key shots. The cast have to learn all the lines they have in these multiple story branches and switch onto the right branch when each of those shots does or doesn't go in.
