Safely park car on street to avoid key scanners

    Hey guys since I can’t disable smart key on my 2010 Prius is there anything I can disconnect to be able to park it on the street for a few days and not worry someone will steal it? It’s a low mileage 2010 in really good shape, someone might still want it…namely me!

    any suggestions for a low cost engine, kill type solution?

    I put on a club 3000 but I don’t think they’re much of a deterrent anymore are they?

    I’ve never seen a post of stolen Prius so Put your remote in faraday bags on this sub forum before.

    Just disconnect battery I think now you can get wireless switch to switch battery off line the 12 v . Some 12V now have a chip inside easy to make a remote disconnect I bet some mfgrs already has . You push button 12v is completely off line. You return hit button on battery remote to engage 12V . So car sitting w no red car flashing looks completely dead but why when I was in crime game if I wanted a car off street I used a wrecker it's faster harder to trace etc grab n go . It's ten yrs old barely makes a hot sheet etc .

    is this a 'thing' in toronto? i haven't read much about it being a problem, except for people posting youtube videos here
