Was just wondering if owners of the newer Prius models liked it as much as the older ones. So far it's been mixed from a couple of local owners I know. Thanks.

gen 4 owners are mostly very happy, although some were burned in the early years by the exhaust recirc coolant heater leak, to the tune of a new cat, or even a blown engine.gen 5 is too new for reliability data. owners seem mostly very happy aside from minor complaints.
current prius owners who haven't moved to gen 5 usually sight the cramped cabin, and smaller hatch space, as well as lackluster mpg improvement.
but it has brought in new prius buyers who have been waiting a long time for a sportier, better looking model.

Well....FWIW......We (wife & I) are on our fifth Prius (Gen 5)......a Gen 2 (2005), two Gen 3 (both 2010) .....a Gen 4 (2017) & now a Gen 5 (2024)......the Gen 2 had 150,000 mi with no problems other than it had started to burn some oil, nice car ......the Gen 3's had 120,000 & 130,000 mi with no problems, nice cars ......the Gen 4 has 110,000 mi with no problems, (we still have it) a VERY nice car .....the Gen 5 has 8000 mi with no problems, nice car ......all purchased new ......to sum it all/up ......I wish I could have purchased another NEW Gen 4 .....I would be hard/pressed to find anything I don't like about this car! ......again, FWIW

Thanks-those are good points. Yes, the look of it is pretty sleek. I told a friend of mine who has a white one that it almost looked like a Prius married a Ferrari.

My gen 3 Prius was one of the finest vehicles I ever owned.
Not a nickel in repairs over 12 years.
    That's why I bought a new gen 5.

I think if gen 5 were a lemon, there'd be tons of reports by now.

Maybe I would have had an expensive breakdown if I had kept it.
Or maybe not. I guess I'll never know.

I replaced my 2011 Prius with a 2025. Getting almost 60 mpg on the new car. When the 2011 was new, I was getting low 50s and by the time I got rid of it, I was in the low 40s. So from a mileage perspective, I love the 2025. I also enjoy driving the car, as it is much better build quality than the 2011. What I don't like about the 2025? It's smaller. Can't load as much in the back because of the lower roof. Also wish it had a rear wiper! I love all the safety features of the 25.
