What are the forum's thoughts on salvage/junkyard 12V batteries?

    Other thing y'all may consider if you are Costco members is that Costco sells Interstate batteries for a significant discount.

    Needed a new battery for my Outback and the cheapest "decent" battery from the parts stores/dealership was $165USD.

    Costco had the Interstate for $80USD. Had it for four years now and still going strong.

    Costco will not install.
