    You got pretty much the deluxe treatment then (because you had a big enough bang to zorch all those things). Remember the pics from my post above, the IPM looks like this:

    The only more-deluxe treatment than you got is if the bang was big enough to damage the case; if that happens, you get a whole shiny new assembly.

    They probably just mean the whole assembly. They had to take it out of the car to crack it open and replace those parts inside. Then they had to put it back in the car, reconnect the wires and hoses, and put coolant back in.

    You had a P0A94, so the boost converter was among the things zorched. But it isn't some separate part of its own. Schematically it looks like this:

    and from that picture you might think there's a separate "boost IPM", but there's not. Those IGBTs are included in the one big IPM that got replaced. You have to strip the circuit board off the top to see them, all soldered down (with an insulating aluminum nitride layer) to the water-cooled heatsink.

    The reactor and capacitor are big parts mounted separately in the case and didn't need replacement; the rest of the boost converter circuit is all on the IPM that they replaced.
