Lived most of my life in the Pacific Northwest.

NEVER seen the Coastal Oregon mountains as dry as this year and not even August.

Even tho we are in drought, Bob Dylan's song about a hard rain a'fallin' has been bouncing around my head since January

There have already been fires in areas that "never" burn.

Well, the gas equipment is put away and battery chainsaw and trimmers are going to see some use. Still have to worry about errant sparks, tho.

Got all our vehicles outfitted with loggers fire extinguishers and shovels, which are technically required during fire season every year travelling on our backcountry roads. But never worried much before.

Hoping not to "see" the James Taylor song, "I've seen fire.."

    Stay safe.
