The suspected fakes were used in the engine once rebuilt, and I think causing the engine to run rich and get carbon on top of the pistons in under 600 miles. The biggest tell is looking at the side. The suspected fake, the raised plastic where the numbers are stamped seems to sit flush at the top with the rounded plastic injector body. The OEM one is raised all the way around. The suspected fake, the numbers are stamped into a sunken in area, on the OEM fuel injector, the numbers are cleanly stamped and don't sink into the plastic. The fuel inlet filters on the suspected fake are also an entirely different design. The suspected fake is 0.1mm longer than the OEM and .1g less in weight.
