Right side mirror broken -any suggestions?

So, the OP has the PVM then?

Mine was broken at the base; so, I had to replace everything. The rigid-bond cement was holding well though, but I didn't want to risk taking it to an automated car wash or someone trying to fold it.

 

I have no idea. He's never answered the question. But there are a bunch of different versions of the mirror based on options. Heated glass, water repellant glass, blind spot monitor indicator light, PVM camera and IR light, turn signal indicator, power folding motor.

All mirrors for the US and Canada have heated glass and BSM. Some also have the PVM stuff. But the basic version without the BSM light is still in the parts system even though no cars actually use it. Just like the spare tire parts are still in the system even though no US/Canada cars have them.

So:
87910-47660 - no extras - Guam & Saipan spec (this was the one you linked to)
87910-47680 - heated glass, BSM light - standard US/Canada mirror
87910-47690 - heated glass, BSM light, PVM camera & light - Advanced Tech Package mirror

 

He keeps saying that it costs $1,200 though, which is the version with the PVM. He will probably ignore everyone as usual and eventually find out that he got the wrong part.

Normally, the dealer system can precisely identify the part only from the VIN, especially for newer Toyotas. However, unfortunately, the public Toyota parts site does not work well. Third-party dealer sites and perhaps even Amayama are probably better in identifying the correct part from the VIN. The best way is to give a dealer parts department a call.
