P3190 on a 2014, Mechanic already changed out many of the main culprits.

    Hi so every thirty miles or so the car gives the "hybrid system issue" and shuts down after a short distance. If I unplug the fuse box and let it sit overnight, it will drive another thirty miles or so,

    My mechanic changed the spark plugs, fuel injectors, mass airflow sensor, throttle body and fuel pump relay and checked the air intake. It is still stalling, and the mechanic is baffled. Any ideas?
    Car has 240,000 miles and I had the engine replaced about 40,000 miles ago

    I have more than once seen posts here where somebody pulled a leaf bit or insect bit out of the MAF sensor, as in that Torque News article. I wonder about this case, though, as the MAF sensor's already been replaced.

    I wish the Torque News article hadn't been so vague in explaining the P3190 and P0A0F codes and the relationship between them.

    P3190 is a code from the Engine Control Module (the module with the up-close detailed knowledge), and means the engine was producing less than a fifth of the torque the ECM had calculated it should. (That can still have a lot of causes.)

    P0A0F is a code from the power management control ECU, kind of the orchestra conductor for the car, and doesn't tell you a lot more than "hey, I asked the ECM for some engine power and he said no can do". (It does have a few different INF codes, though, reflecting a few different kinds of "no can do" message it can get from the ECM.)

    Has he tried letting it idle in maintenance mode for an hour or 2 and see what happens? Maybe it's overheating?
