Is the speed of my 2021 Prius factory-limited? (My 2005 Prius hit the speed-limiter wall at 106 mph, I first discovered on a vast straight stretch in Alaska. The vehicle had good stability at that speed, and the motor had a good bit more ability to go faster.)

Looks like the 2021 is limited at 112. I will say I looked that up, I don’t have a 2021 myself.

A vehicle speed limit might be derived from the RPM limits on MG1 and MG2.

MG2 rpm limit does indeed seem to be what determines the speed limit for G1, G2, and G4/G5 PHEV Priuses - all less than 180km/h.

But for other Priuses it's set at 180km/h = 112mph, which I believe is pretty standard across the whole Toyota range. (And possibly for Japanese cars more widely).

That does roughly coincide with what I understand to be the MG2 limit for G3 and G4 HEV, but it's lower than the G5 HEV rev limits suggest.
