My headlights are hazy and hard to see through at night. I am looking for new ones and the price range is very large. I would like to know if anyone has purchased new ones. I would like your information please.

Are you able to clean/polish it off? You can buy a headlight restoration kit off the shelf. Make sure it has a UV protector wipe or similar to keep the headlight you just restored looking new.

If your going to buy the entire assembly; you'll need to determine if it's a halogen or HID setup. The halogen is usually the cheaper option that can be replaced with LED lamps.

    Hope this helps...

Gen3 USDM prii had halogen or LED headlights in the level 5 trim. The OEM LED headlights cost over $1000 each, that's probably why the OP noted the wide discrepancy in prices.

AFAIK, only the JDM Prius G's had HIDs.

+1 on getting the headlight covers cleaned/resurfaced and restored and using a UV protectant to keep the plastic from yellowing and getting hazy again.

I was speculating this morning, if there'd be a market for headlight covers, similar to windshield covers, say with magnets around the edge. For UV protection. Kinda nuts, to have a need something like this. Maybe they'd get swiped too often. :(

Never happened when they were made out of glass.

If you cover up the headlights while driving, you’ll get a ticket. Only led bars are to be covered up while driving on roads.

I tried to restore my headlights after they got hazy. Did a lot of sanding and they ended up not looking much better. Also ended up spraying them with uv resistant polyurethane i got from advanced auto parts which I had to sand off because it made them worse (orange peel texture). If you're really good at sanding and polishing I'm sure you could do it but it's quite difficult as I learned. I even sanded it with up to 6000 grit i think. Just my two cents.
