Full Color Schematics etc. for 2004-2005 Gen II. Found elsewhere on the internet circa 2007. I make no claim to ownership of this information - no copyrights or other info were included in the original download. I found it easier to look at than the Toyota service manuals. Enjoy!
I found the diagram in another Priuschat forum. I wanted to set up a separate subforum but did not see how. If I recall, look in the site we0h/Prius n that is we{zero}h/Prius [this would be a full URL but as a newbie I am not allowed to post messages with actual URLs yet... :-(
FANTASTIC. Used the diagram to pinpoint what was blowing the GAUGE fuse on my '05 gen2. Turns out it was the cheap door window master switch cluster I purchased on Amazon. Thank you @drjake!
"prius wiring.pdf" is missing pages 66-69 which describe the "Power Source" wiring connections. Otherwise it is complete. Has anyone seen the missing pages?
Have you compared it to the one in this thread? The file is larger, so hopefully it contains the missing pages.
I have that file, but it is for 2006 model year. There are several wiring differences between 2004-2005 vs. 2006. Some parts, such as the engine compartment fuse block, are totally different. Although the 2006 wiring diagram is helpful, it would be even better to have a complete 2004-2005 wiring diagram with no missing pages. I also downloaded "Prius wiring.zip" from this thread. It unzips into 101 individual .jpg files. None of them look like the diagrams in either the 2004-2005 or 2006 versions of "prius wiring.pdf" Also these .jpg files aren't very high resolution. Text labels in them are difficult to read. As stated in my previous post, the only item missing from the 2004-2005 "prius wiring.pdf" (posted in this thread) is pages 66-69. I'm searching for the missing pages from the 2004-2005 wiring diagram because my 2005 Prius suddenly developed a really odd problem. (I think I should start a new topic to discuss this in greater detail.) My symptoms: Following items suddenly stopped working: All interior lights (ceiling, lower doors, rear hatch area) Wireless smart key fob feature Clock Radio/CD player However, many other items still work: Door locks respond to inserting the physical key into the external drivers side door lock: Turning key clockwise unlocks the drivers door. Turning it clockwise a second time unlocks all doors and rear hatch. Turning it counterclockwise locks all doors and rear hatch. Rear hatch can be opened (when unlocked) Emergency blinker Light switch Plus, all of the following items work when smart key fob is inserted into dash slot and "IGN" mode is selected by the power button: Combo meter Multifunction display (however, radio CD player and map feature still do not work) "Door open" icon in combo meter works. It lights up when a door is open, turns off when all doors are closed All windows go up and down Side mirror controls Turn signals Power button cycles normally through its standard operational modes (off, acc, ign, and back to off). Note: I am not attempting to put the car into "ready mode" because my HV battery is out of the car right now for busbar cleaning and replacement of 2 faulty NiMH blades. However, all 12V powered functions were working fine without the HV battery. Then the above symptoms began. I don't think the missing HV battery is causing my problem. So far I have confirmed that my problem relates to the 12V circuit labeled "DOME." Some devices fed from the "DOME" circuit are no longer receiving 12V. This circuit is "always-on" regardless of the state of the power button. The DOME circuit has a 15A fuse under the hood. This fuse is good. It has never blown. Under the dash the "DOME" circuit splits into feeding a whole bunch of different sub-circuits. I'm now attempting to locate the open circuit under the dash. This is where a complete wiring diagram would be helpful.
