I just found and bought my new 2025 Prius Plug-in XSE Premium, yay me. But I want to disable my seat belt alarm and some of the obnoxiously loud alarms that go on when you're too close to a car (etc.). The Dr. Prius page doesn't list any of its functions. In other versions its support for newer Prius' was "iffy." Anyone know if this is still true for Dr. Prius and 2025s? TIA.
Well guys I've got Dr. Prius for my 2024 Prime and while it definitely reports battery stats fine for me like voltages and SOC the app does not clearly declare any 2023-2026 5th Gen Prius Prime/PHEV vehicles as supported. The app shows a long list of supported models from 1997 onward, and the only models that even comes remotely close are "2017-2019 Prius Prime Plug-In" and then "2020+ Prius all lineup except 4WD version". But that's par for the course on any new generation vehicles and OBD2 software - it takes years and likely someone to hand over their vehicle to be tested before they'll ever declare it to be supported (I wonder if they go for a bunch of test drives at the dealerships with their hidden OBD2 adapters). For all vehicles it does support, the Dr. Prius app has a "Special Features" page that does show toggle switches to disable three things: Reverse Beep, Seat Belt Beep and Traction Control. So while I have no issue using it occasionally to "read" OBD2 data the uncertainty of doing anything that involves "writing/changing" a vehicle settings is something I wouldn't personally try via Dr. Prius until the vehicle is clearly supported. You might have luck with the Carista app which can work with some non-Carista branded OBD2 hardware. Carista shows support for "Prius Prime / Prius PHV - 3rd Gen / 2023+". They list "Seatbelt Warning Ding (driver)" as one that can be disabled.
can confirm used carista to turn off seatbelt warning and enable windows down on keyfob hold windows down option has been nice in the summer
Can carista or another app: Allow us to set a default engine mode on startup Auto turn on the AC outlets? Incredibly dumb to have to hit that every time we start the car. We travel with a fridge and want the AC outlet on all the time. That's what its there for. Ugh.
