Start AC or heat remotely from phone app?

    I find that setting the temperature does nothing.

    Did you actually turn it on?

    I ask because I once made that mistake. You have to set the temp, but you also have to enable custom climate in the top right corner of that screen on the app. The first time I tried using it, I didn't see that toggle, so I only adjusted the temp and was confused when it didn't work.

    Another problem with the Remote Start function. Sometimes when I tried it I got the error message that Remote Start requires at least a 30% battery charge? Why? Couldn't it start from the 12v battery? It requires 30% charge of the plugin battery? So is remote start and climate not possible with the non plugin Prius?

    I miss some features of my previous car, a Tesla Model 3. The climate preconditioning always worked. Did not require remote start. (In fact, no such thing as "start" in the Tesla. You just get in, put it in gear and drive it, with no need to start it. True of all EVs?) and for the climate pre-start, no need to hold a button down. Just press the button to start it, choose temperature, etc.

    Many cool things about the Prius Prime, Much buggy too though, especially the app.

    Yes, the 30% charge level requirement makes no sense. Actually, it needs to be about 50% to work.
    That's why I was using the CHG function to charge the battery, in case I wanted to use the remote start.

    Even though the heater is off while it runs, the engine at least, is a bit warmer.
