A brand-new car is the perfect time to start good habits for keeping the exterior clean and protecting the paint. Cars don’t usually come waxed from the factory, the dealer might offer it (often for an extra cost), but that’s not standard. Most modern cars have a clear coat over the paint, but it’s relatively thin and will wear over time from sun, washing, and road debris. Adding a protective layer on top of the clear coat is a smart move. Wax is a solid choice, but I personally went with a DIY ceramic coating, specifically, Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions Ceramic Spray Coating. It gives the paint a glassy shine, helps repel dust, and makes water bead up and roll off, which makes washing and drying much easier.
