How to Remove Prius Gen 5 UFO (Vehicle Proximity Notification System - VPNS) Sound

    Hello there,

    I am new to this world.

    This is my first time buying a Prius. My 2024 Prius Limited makes the UFO sounds that really bother me. I've heard that there is some way to disable it, which is reversible.

    However, I am not an electrician and have no experience in it at all. I have already purchased the resistor, 090II-2P-5 2-way kit, heat shrink tubes, and soldering kit.

    Yet, I am unsure what I should do to make it look like the picture below because there is no step-by-step guide on this site.

    I really don't know. It also amazes me there are folks who first thing want to disable safety related features.
    With the windows up I don't even here it.

    you have to pull the blue plugs out of the grey connector to see if the wires are soldered or crimped.
    or if you buy the plugs, you can determine the method
